I am so glad that I took the opportunity to go out last night to the Murray Bridge Glows festival in Diamond Park and Edwards Square. This being (I think) the third year this event has been run, I felt terrible that I had not attended one yet. Curiosity also had a lot to do with my choice to go along, as friends who had gone to the first two such events said last year was a great event and this year was supposed to be similar.
So into the car I jumped with my young adult and almost adult children. We also had an extra, my son's fiance in tow, Sonata staying with us for a few weeks. What better excuse did we need to show off Murray Bridge at its brightest. I'm so glad I chose to rug up and go.
Fire dancing, moon gazing, and something otherworldly going on with bongos, keyboard, and other crazy instruments that perfectly matched the zany costumes of the band members. There was even someone building the moon, I'm sure that is what they were doing. There was a packed Silent Disco with community members of all ages moving and groving as one, a high in demand telescope for stargazing, and plenty of glow sticks, candles, fire pits, and community spirit.
If I ever wondered, does Murray Bridge glow with welcoming warmth, the evidence was on display last night. So much to see. I just wandered around in a dreamy haze, soaking it all in.
Five dazzling stars out of five, Murray Bridge. Such a weird and wonderful night out.

Thank you Power FM
May thanks go out to Craig and Chels from the Murraylands Power FM breakfast team. A little while ago, listening in while enjoying my morning coffee I heard this pair mention a double pass to see the newest Spider Man film. After showing off my best (or worst) American accent I demonstrated my vocal range (Mickey Mouse, Goofy, The Count from Seaseme Street just to name a few) and was awarded the coveted prize.
Last night I finally found the chance to bundle up my gorgeous wife and our daughters and off to the cinema we went.
Spider Man was everything we needed, entertaining, mind blowing, so much family fun. To top it all off we stopped in at Fasta Pasta for a super yummy tea.
Thanks Craig and Chels for a five star family fun time.
